As I mentioned  in the previous post, Bagamoyo has quite the number of attractions for a small sleepy fishing town. By the time we left Kaole (see part one of my trip here) the sun was high and unforgiving. The remainder of the afternoon involved trudging along the dusty paths of Old Stone Town learning more about German occupation in Bagamoyo.

See the only stone town I had heard about is the one in Zanzibar, so I was pleasantly surprised and a bit curious to learn that there was one in Bagamoyo as well. In retrospect, now that I’ve been to Zanzibar, the two towns are very similar.
